Spay Academy Portugal (originally Spay Academy Spain) is a 5-day practical course dedicated to practising neutering techiniques. This course runs from Monday to Friday and provides you with a full week of hands-on training with at least one dedicated instructor.

The Spay Academy has 2 levels:

• Level 1: we focus on cat castrations and cat spays. We can also try to arrange dog castrations. Bitch spays are possible but dependent on caseload and surgical skills.
• Level 2: for practising bitch spay techniques (high volume high quality techniques - HQHVSN), we can also have a small number of cats / dogs. This is an intensive surgery course where you'd be doing back-to-back surgery, and thus we require a basic level of surgical proficiency. We aim for 3 bitch spays per day.

These courses take place in our training centre near Lisbon, Portugal. Both are small courses with up to 2 participants and 1-2-1 tutoring.

The price for each level can be seen below:

• Level 1: £2500. Includes accommodation and meals.
• Level 2: £3500. Includes accommodation and meals.
