What you’ll learn

Too Stressed to Pee; stress management CPD for veterinary professionals

So much of the stress in veterinary practice comes from

  • replaying what's already happened ("did I DEFINITELY check that dog's lymph nodes?")
  • scanning ahead to what might happen (like mentally rehearsing how you'll cope in the afternoon goes sideways)
  • worrying about what others think ("do they think I'm just saying this for the money?!")

Mindfulness lets us let go of these kinds of stress ⬆️ and teaches how to stay with what’s actually happening, rather than everything our mind is throwing at us.

Which is often, a job we love.

Working in vet practice is never going to be completely stress-free, and it's certainly not the job for everyone (I'm one of those people!).

BUT the way we approach it can massively affect how stressful we find it. And that's hard to admit, because it means recognising that there are skills we were never taught, but can learn, to make it feel easier.

I'm honest about the fact vet practice isn't the profession for me. But teaching others HOW to enjoy it, how to let go of (some of) the stress, believe they're good enough and remove the pressure to be perfect... that is my speciality.

Hence I'm running this CPD day. They're based on years of workshops, one-to-one coaching and weekend retreats and are designed to not only equip you with the skills to manage stress in the moment, but to also be a relaxing day itself.

If you’re fed up of work feeling heavier than you think it should, I'd love to welcome you there.

Because everyone deserves to enjoy the job they've spent so long working towards.
